Wont turn off

I downloaded the app then tapped on to see how it works. It immediately made my screen nearly black so that I couldnt hardly see anything. There was no way to get out of the app so I presses my home circle my screen was still very very dark and I found settings and turn my brightness up. Went back into the app to see how I could set the settings - there are no settings, there is no exit button and if you click help you are stuck there. Deleted the app because its useless if I cant control the settings.
