It makes my entire phone dark no matter what I cant remove it

Using iphone5 after most recent July 1st2014 update. This app once activated used to make my phone dark (not just browser but every single app and background) and all I had to do to remove it was lock my phone and unlock it. Perfect for sleepy time mindless games. After update the dark affect no longer goes away by itself. Now I have to go into settings to change the brightness back manually. Unless they update this I may as well delete the app and do that myself. Aside from this one issue I wouldve given it five stars.
